The Home Secretary, The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP, with James Caldecourt, President of Reading University Conservative Association

The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP met staff and students on a visit to the University of Reading on Thursday 24 January.

Theresa May was the guest of Reading University Conservative Association and during her visit she spoke to an audience of students and staff about her role as Home Secretary. She also talked about the performance of the UK government on the domestic and international stage, shared her outlook on the future and took questions from the assembled audience.

Sir David Bell, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, said: "We were delighted to welcome the Home Secretary to the University. In her role as a local MP, she takes a keen interest in the University and I would like to thank her for taking the time to come and talk to Reading students. I would also like to pay tribute to the organisers of the event, Reading University Conservative Association, for hosting such a professional event, open to all. "

Theresa May is the Patron of Reading University Conservative Association.
