Landlords turn out to get lowdown on latest accommodation information – University of Reading

Release Date : 28 April 2009

Over 80 landlords attended the recent University of Reading Landlords Information Evening.

Organised in conjunction with Reading Borough Council, the free evening provided landlords with the most up-to-date information from a range of agencies to enable them to provide the best quality accommodation.

Kay Dickinson, the University of Reading's accommodation officer, said:"We were very pleased with the turn out for this year's Landlords Information Evening. The landlords got a lot out of the evening and there was a good buzz around the place. We hope that the range of information that landlords will have picked up will help make their properties attractive to potential tenants, including our students, in a market with over-supply."

Now in its 12th year, the evening included briefings on energy efficiency; general advice on lettings; and a consultation session on the re-launch of Reading Borough Council's Landlord Accreditation Scheme.

Anyone with properties in the University area who is interested in letting to students should contact Jenny Artivich in the Student Services Advisory Team (Accommodation) on 0118 378 8054 or j.r.artivich@reading.ac.uk
