University announces termination of strategic partnership with ANGLE plc

Release Date 15 November 2007

The University of Reading has announced today its long-term commercial partnership with ANGLE plc has been terminated by mutual agreement with effect from 26 July 2007.

The partnership was designed to accelerate the commercialisation of University intellectual property through the provision by ANGLE of consultancy support, investment funding and commercial management. It operated successfully for 12 months and helped to embed technology transfer as an integral part of the University's operations.

The University and ANGLE will continue to co-operate if relevant business opportunities arise in the future. The termination of the partnership positions the University to pursue the transformation of its commercialisation capability through new routes.
