MERL's biggest family event
Saturday 12th June, 10am to 5pm
This year there will be an artistic theme to our biggest family event to tie in with the 'Looking at Landscape' exhibition.
Come along and find out how rural England has inspired artists and poets.
Join in the family workshops and get creative! Everyone will be able to contribute to a giant landscape weaving project - using plastic bags!
Our star guest will be Korky Paul, illustrator of the Winnie the Witch books. Children will be able to sign up to take part in a series of free drawing workshops run by Korky throughout the day!
There'll be music from the beautiful steam fairground organ and morris dancing (including the opportunity to join in)
See our modern and Victorian allotments and buy plants.
Local organisations including the WI, Oxfam books, the CPRE and more will have information stalls
Refreshments will be available, including tea and cakes, and lunches.
You'll also be able to cycle your own smoothie, have your face painted and play some traditional games...
Come along and enjoy a fun and relaxing day in the MERL garden! (And let's hope for better waether than last year!)
Details of demonstrations, stalls and activities will be posted nearer the time.
If you would like to know the details as soon as they are available, sign up to receive our monthly e-bulletin on our mailing list page.
