Felicity Finch is a BBC radio presenter and reporter of features and documentaries as well as being an actor, who is best known as Ruth Archer in Radio 4's 'The Archers'.
Felicity Finch will be talking about how 'The Archers' has been used as a model for radio dramas in developing countries, becoming a powerful tool in educating through entertainment. She will also speak about her radio documentaries covering the dramas in Rwanda, Albania, Cambodia and Afghanistan, as well as her training of actors on “New Home, New Life” in Kabul.
The lecture will be followed by a short Question & Answer session when Felicity will be happy to take questions from the audience about all aspects of her work.
If you haven't seen the 'Everyday stories of country folk' exhibition at MERL yet, there will be a chance to see a the 'pop-up' version of the exhibition in the Great Hall from 6pm.

Parking - some limited parking will be available in White Gates carpark adjacent to the Great Hall. The closest public car park is the Queen's Road car park.
Refreshments A licensed bar will be available in the Great Hall before the lecture from 6pm.
Shop A specially chosen selection of Archers memorabilia and other items from the MERL shop, including Christmas cards, will be available to purchase at the Great Hall from 6pm.
