Digitisation of Countryside Images

The Digitisation of Countryside Images Project was funded by JISC as part of the Enriching Digital Resources programme, a strand of the Digitisation programme.
The project started on 30 September 2008 and finished in October 2009. The project digitised and catalogued over 13, 000 glass plate negatives from the Farmers Weekly and Farmer and Stockbreeder photographic collections. The images date from 1920-1965.
The images are available by searching the online database
If you would like to restrict your search to only images from this project, select advanced search, on the drop down menu in the search in field select 'Archives-Museum of English Rural Life', and put in the reference field either P FW PH1 for Farmers Weekly or P FS PH1 for Farmer and Stockbreeder.
