Postgraduate seminars

The postgraduate students have their own seminar series run by them for other students. This provides an excellent training ground for conference talks and enhances the postgraduate student experience.

The seminars in the 2018-19 series take place on Thursdays at 1pm. Talk titles will be revealed at least one week before the appropriate session.

This year, in addition to Reading Postgrads, every month a fellow PhD student in Maths or Statistics from other UK universities is invited to visit our Department and give a talk during our seminars. This activity has been kindly sponsored by the QJMAM Fund for Applied Mathematics (https://academic.oup.com/qjmam) and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
