Lost items

Lost property at the University is looked after by Reception in Palmer Building. If you have lost an item, you can contact reception on +44 (0)118 378 6250, by emailing reception@reading.ac.uk, or by completing the form below:

Found items

If you find an item, please take it to the reception desk in Palmer Building between 10.00 and 14.00 Monday to Friday. We will then log the item in our database and try to return it to its owner. When Palmer Reception is closed, please take any items to the Security Office in Whiteknights House.

What we do with lost property

Lost property will be held for six weeks. Where an item has identifying marks will will attempt to find the owner. After this time, the finder is entitled to claim the item on production of the receipt issued when the item was handed in. Unclaimed items are donated to charity.
