Library
Your studies are supported by the Library which:
- provides access to a world of online, multimedia and printed information, and
- teaches you the skills to make the most of it.
At the University of Reading you can use a range of specialised web-based resources to do your research. These include databases giving you details of the latest published information and access to full-text online articles and books.
Your information-handling skills will be improved by training and guides offered by subject-liaison librarians. They will teach you how to find printed and online resources to support your studies.
Researchers may benefit from using the University's unique collections of archives and rare books run by the Special Collections Services on the London Road Campus. This service is operated jointly with the Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) which has its own library collection covering all aspects of agricultural history and rural life.
Access to maps and other cartographic information is provided by the Map Collections located in the University Library.
Any books and articles not held in our large collection can be readily obtained by the Inter-Library Loan Service.
