Disabled students

Many students with disabilities have successfully completed courses at the University of Reading where we are working towards providing a fully accessible learning environment. We welcome your applications and take care to provide, wherever possible, the support that you may require to participate fully in both the academic and social life at Reading.

There are a number of ways in which you can visit the University.  You are welcome to attend one of our University-wide Open Days in June and September at which there will be the opportunity to meet our Disability Officers, in confidence, to discuss your particular needs.  At Open Days we also provide a 'roving' mobility bus to help you get around and a Disability Office stand for general enquiries.  You are also welcome to join one of our weekly campus tours or take a self-guided tour, if you would prefer.

If you have a disability or disabling condition and would like to come along to Open Day or a campus tour, it would be helpful if you could contact the Disability Office in the first instance, to discuss your requirements and to ensure that Reading will be a suitable place for you to study.
