Banking and Insurance
Banks close to campus
There is a Lloyds TSB cash machine on the Whiteknights campus that can be used with cards from most UK banks. There is a branch of NatWest a couple of minutes walk as well as a branch of HSBC approximately ten minutes walk away from the Whiteknights campus.
Most other banks and building societies have branches within the City Centre.
Insurance
It is sensible to insure your possessions and belongings whilst you are studying at the University. If you are staying in University accommodation (Halls/Housing) then insurance can be arranged direct through the University. If you are not staying in University accommodation then you will need to insure you belongings through another insurance company. There are many companies offering insurance including Endsleigh Insurance, which has a branch on campus.
When insuring your belongings you should make sure that all your belongings are covered (including clothing, electrical equipment, jewellery, etc.) as well as checking what you are covered against (e.g. fire, flood, theft, etc.).
