University accommodation costs vary according to level of facilities provided, and the length of residence period. You can download the Hall Fees 2009 to 2010

What's included in the University accommodation fees?
- Data point in your room and unlimited access to the University network via your own computer
- Heating, lighting and power for computers, etc
- All Halls have a Resident Tutor or Senior Academic Resident, who provides welfare support for students
Living costs
Below is an approximate guide to the minimum amount you should expect for living expenses whilst studying at Reading.
- Accommodation in halls of residence - £300 - £500 per month (includes all bills, internet and you won't need to pay for the summer vacation if you opt for a 31 or 39 week contract)
- Private accommodation - £300 - £500 per month
- Bills (Electric/Gas/Water) - £30 -£50 per month (included in the charge for halls of residence)
- Food/Housekeeping - £150-£200 per month (included in the charge for catered halls of residence)
- TV Licence (mandatory if you own a TV) - currently £142.50 per year. Further information is available from the TV Licence website.
