Postgraduate Halls applications

If we offer you a place at the University of Reading the Faculty Admissions Office staff will send you information about how to make your accommodation application online.

When your academic offer is unconditional and you have made your application for accommodation the accommodation team will contact you to confirm whether you have a place in University accommodation.

You will normally be guaranteed a Hall place:

• if you have submitted your online application for accommodation by 1 August; and

• your academic offer is unconditional by that date.

We cannot guarantee you a hall place if you apply for accommodation after 1 August.

If we are unable to offer you a place in University accommodation do not worry as there is plenty of private accommodation available in Reading.

Couples or family accommodation

Please note that students requiring accommodation for a couple or family will be able to submit their application for accommodation online. However, the options are very individual so the accommodation team will then contact you to discuss options.
