How to apply
Undergraduates
After you have filled in your UCAS form and sent it back to us, the Admissions Officers will decide whether to offer you a place at the University of Reading.
If we offer you a place we will send you information about University accommodation.
If you choose the University of Reading as your firm choice we will send you an accommodation application form. Forms will be sent out from February 2009 onwards. You will be guaranteed a place in Halls if you apply before 1 August 2009.
If you choose the University of Reading as your insurance choice we will normally be able to offer you a place in University accommodation, however, your choice of where to live is likely to be more restricted. If we are unable to offer you a place in University accommodation do not worry as there is plenty of private accommodation available in Reading.
Postgraduates
If we decide to offer you a place at the University of Reading the Faculty Admissions Offices will send you an accommodation application form and information about University accommodation.
When your academic offer is unconditional and we have received your accommodation application form the Accommodation Office will write to confirm whether you have a place in University accommodation.
You will normally be guaranteed a Hall place:
- if we have received your completed application form by 1 August 2009; and
- your academic offer is unconditional by that date.
For applications received after 1 August, we give priority to international applicants.
If we are unable to offer you a place in University accommodation do not worry as there is plenty of available in Reading.
