Sessional lecturers: joining the Library

As a sessional lecturer you are entitled to a Staff card for the duration of your contract.

If you have come to the end of one contract, and are expecting to receive a new contract from the beginning of the next Autumn Term, you will be entitled to an Academic visitor card until the start date of your new contract.

Please complete an Academic visitor application form (PDF) and get it signed by your Head of Department (or an authorised signatory in their absence). The Head of Department must enter the start date of the expected new contract on this form.

When the new session begins please come to the Ground Floor Information Desk with your Academic Visitor Card. Your previously completed Academic Visitor form provides confirmation that you will receive a new contract, and you will be issued with a Staff Card for use from the start date of your new contract.

If you do not need to borrow before the start of your new contract please follow the steps for applying for a Staff card. Please bring your new contract when registering.
