Newbury String Players Collection

The Newbury String Players collection forms part of the Finzi Music Collection. It consists of some 700 sets of orchestral parts was accumulated by the Newbury String Players, a group formed and conducted by Gerald Finzi and later his son, Christopher. Its repertoire consists mainly of works for string orchestra, but does include some works for slightly larger groups. Some of the sets are arrangements in Finzi's hand and the collection contains several works by Robin Milford.

Access

Members of the University should contact Christopher Cipkin to arrange a loan of the music. Some scores cannot be lent because of copyright restrictions.

Sets from the Newbury String Players can be borrowed on inter-library loan by other academic libraries, provided the borrower meets all the costs involved. NB We do not lend any dyeline or manuscript material which might infringe copyright.
