Searching for a DVD, video, sound recording, or other media

To find a video, sound recording or format other than printed you need to limit your Unicorn search.

1. Select the Advanced search on the Quick search screen.
2. Type in one or more subject words in the Words or phrase box.
3. Scroll down the screen to the search limits options at the bottom.
4. Select the format you want from the material pick-list by clicking on the arrow to the right of the box.
5. Click on Search.

Note: if you want find either DVDs or videos, just type in the word "videorecording" along with your subject search words, no need to select anything from the material picklist.

Example:

I need to find two DVDs of Shakespeare's King Lear to compare.

1. Select Advanced Search
2. In the Words or phrase search box type:
   shakespeare lear
3. Scroll down and select DVD from the Material pick-list
4. Click on Search
