Renewing items

You can renew Standard and 7-day loan items. There are three ways to renew them:

• using Unicorn
• on the Self-Service Points
• by phone

The following items may not be renewed:

• recalled items - more about recalls
• 1-day loans (journals) - more about borrowing journals
• 6-hour loan items from the Course Collection after an overnight or weekend loan - more about the Course Collection

Renewing items using Unicorn

You can renew Standard and 7-day loan items on Unicorn. You can renew items up to five times using Unicorn. After this, please bring the items into the Library to discharge and borrow again using the Self-Service Points or ask at the Collection Point.

This service is available providing you do not have:

• a fine of £5.00 or more
• an item overdue by more than seven days
• a bill outstanding for more than seven days.

Using the Self-Service Points

You can renew standard and 7-day loan items on the Self-Service Points.

You can renew items up to five times using the Self-Service Points. After this, please discharge and borrow again using the Self-Service Points or ask at the Collection Point.

If possible, please phone 9-5, Monday to Thursday, or 10-5 on Fridays.
