E-resources

Student working at a computerGoogle is not the only answer to your information needs! Use the e-resources listed on the left to help you find good quality information.

Need a quick summary or definition?

Try out Online dictionaries, encyclopedias and other reference sources

Need to find journal articles?

Search Databases to find references to articles and other types of publication. Some will also give you the full-text of an article. If not, most link to our Item Finder to show you online access immediately. If the articles aren't available here then we can usually get them for you via our Inter-library loans service.

Will I need a password?

Before getting started read our advice on Accessing e-resources to find out what passwords and software you will need.

Managing references

If you are starting your dissertation, think about managing your references electronically using EndNote.

Getting items not held at Reading

If we don't have the items you need at Reading (in print or online) then we can usually get them for you from another library via our Inter-library loans service. Or you could visit another library - for more information see Other libraries.
