Are you a new student? In Welcome Week and the Autumn Term we offer our popular introductory training sessions. These cover the basics of searching the catalogue and finding items on the shelves.
EndNote & Mendeley reference management training
Undergraduates doing projects, Masters and PhD students may also be interested in learning how to use reference management packages. We offer workshops in using EndNote and Mendeley.
Teach yourself how to use the Library more effectively during your studies at Reading using our self-paced Blackboard course, LibLearn.
Study Advice & Maths support training
The Study Advice and Maths Support Teams in the Library offer a range of training and workshops to help you develop your study skills.
- Study Advice events and seminars - includes essay writing, presentation skills and referencing.
- Maths workshops and events - ranging from brushing up your algebra to preparing for psychometric tests.

Arranging training for your students
We are keen to help University members develop the skills needed to exploit the information resources we offer. Our liaison librarians and study advisers are happy to run training sessions for specific groups of students, especially if this is linked with a piece of work or project.
