Financial information
- Amadeus
Amadeus (Analyse Major Databases from European Sources) contains financial information on over 13 million public and private companies in around 40 European countries.
- Fame
Covers UK and Irish companies.
- OneSource Global Business Browser
Covers UK and international market, industry and company information. Use to find: company information, including financial data; Datamonitor and other market research reports.
- Osiris
Worldwide coverage of listed companies, banks and insurance companies.
- Morningstar Company Intelligence
In depth analysis of the top companies in the UK
- Zephyr
Contains information about mergers and acquisitions, IPO and venture capital deals with links to financial company information.
- Datastream
Covers company, financial and economic data. Use to find: historical company information; financial data; charts and tables that can be downloaded into MS Word.

- Business Source Complete
Contains profiles of the world's 5,000 largest companies. Click on the arrow next to the 'More' tab at the top of the main search screen to search the company profiles. The profiles are mainly produced by Datamonitor and contain sections such as company overview, products and services, competitors, etc.
- Reading Central Library
Has access to the Corporate Researcher database which covers all UK limited companies. This allows you to search for companies by geographic area, turnover, industry sector and various other criteria.
Annual Reports
Annual reports are good sources of data about companies including financial information. Most companies have their own websites. There are two major sites, which provide links to companies:
- Hoovers
- Northcote
This online research tool links you to listed company information, including Financial Reports, Webcasts and Press Releases. Access is free of charge, but you need to register to use the site.
