Ure Museum
The Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology provides one of the major resources in Greek archaeology in the United Kingdom. It houses a notable collection of Greek ceramics and other objects; altogether there are about 2000 holdings, with pots from the Bronze Age to Classical periods, along with metal and other artefacts. The collection is a major teaching resource for both the Departments of Classics and Archaeology, with classes being encouraged to view, to study and to handle objects. There is also an opportunity for individual project work involving the artefacts.
Further information is available on the The Ure Museum webpages.
