Citing references: publishers' guidelines

Many publishers and societies have their own code of practice for the way in which authors quote their sources. Guidance for authors can usually be found on the web site for the journal or publisher. You can use a search engine like Google to find the publisher's or journal's website.

Search for a journal and check on the format for the references in your paper. Check under a heading like “instructions to” or “guides for authors”.
