Filters
A filter allows you to import records saved from a database into your EndNote library. It is a two-step process:
- Search your database and save your references in a text file
- Open EndNote and import the references
A filter maps the information in each downloaded reference to the corresponding fields in EndNote. Because the information in each database is organised in different ways, there is a different filter for each database. EndNote comes with a range of filters, others are available to download from the EndNote support website.
A filter might not work properly for some databases which include older sets of data where field names have changed over time. You might need to make some adjustments to the filter to ensure that it imports the data correctly.
