Catalogues
Our Library catalogues are available 24/7 from anywhere in the world. You do not need to login to search.
- Unicorn catalogue - search for books and journals held by the Library ( Help using Unicorn)
- Online Card Catalogue - use to find pre-1979 publications (many are included on Unicorn but have only brief records)
Accessing your Library Account
You can access your account from off-campus to renew your loans, place holds, and view the progress of your holds.

Databases
Most databases can be searched from off-campus, usually using an Athens login. Find out more in our guide to accessing e-resources
E-journals
Many e-journals are available off-campus. If you are off-campus you will need to login to show that you are from University of Reading. By authenticating yourself you will then be given access to full-text articles in our e-journals. Find out more with our guide to Accessing e-journals

To help us to support your use of these resources we recommend that you keep your machine as up-to-date as possible. We will try our best help with any problems, but this can be difficult as each person's set-up is unique.
