SCONUL Vacation Access Scheme

Can I use this scheme?

If you are a student on a taught course (undergraduate or postgraduate) you can use this scheme to access other SCONUL member libraries for reference use only during the vacations of the host institution.

If you are a part-time, distance learning or placement student you may be able to borrow from other universities by using the SCONUL Access: reciprocal access scheme

What can I get under this scheme?

You will be able to use other SCONUL libraries for reference. You will not be able to borrow items or access electronic databases.

How do I use the scheme?

Just take your University of Reading Campus/Access Card  with you to the library you want to use.

Contact the library you intend to visit beforehand to confirm that they are open and that you have the documentation they require. Contact details can be found via the SCONUL member libraries list.
