The
recommended software package available at the University of Reading which
OS data can be imported into is ArcGIS. More information about ArcGIS is available in
the Software Store.
Geographic
information systems (GIS) are designed to manage data that can be presented
in the form of maps. OS data downloaded from EDINA Digimap
can be imported in to a GIS package for analysis or to be combined with
other data sets.

ArcGIS 10.4 is available through Apps
Anywhere. Students and staff should also check the facilities available
in their department or faculty.
