Life at Law

Students enjoying the University campus

The School of Law offers many opportunities for its students to complement their formal legal education by taking part in moots (mock court cases), workshops and Pro Bono and volunteering activities. We have a programme of commercial awareness and employability interactive workshops, with outside speakers from companies such as Vodafone, PricewaterhouseCooper, Shoosmiths and Clarkslegal. Our range of Pro Bono initiatives include a Streetlaw project and Citizens Advice Bureau training. We organise an annual Pro Bono Fair to alert students to other volunteering opportunities. A Peer Support Group, run by students for students, operates from the School of Law. In addition, the Student Law Society organises events throughout the year.
