First-rate employability and high student satisfaction

Our undergraduate LL.B degree courses are fully accredited by the Law Society and the General Council of the Bar. Our graduates enjoy outstanding career prospects and we are highly ranked in the UK for employability. A recent initiative is the appointment of a School of Law Fellow in Legal Services which will give students access to practical, professional input within the context of their studies.

Undergraduate degree courses (LLB) in Law

Our undergraduate degree courses cover the core areas of English law necessary for professional accreditation, while allowing you to tailor your studies to suit your own interests and ambitions. Core modules will focus on areas including criminal law, public law (constitutional and administrative law), equity and trusts, land law, legal skills and tort. Our wide range of optional modules spans areas including company law, criminal justice, criminology, employment law, environmental law, EU law, family law, human rights law, international law and medical law.

Outstanding career prospects

While many graduates of LLB Law take professional exams and continue on to practise law, both in the UK and overseas, law graduates are also in high demand across many other areas. Potential destinations include European and international governmental and non-governmental organisations, the media, general management, the IT sector, professional services firms, banking and financial institutions and the public sector, as well as more entrepreneurial careers. Others choose to undertake further academic study.
