  • Contract Law

She assists Ms Simone Austin-Jones with the Taylor's University College Programme.

She is also a personal tutor for some of the Taylor's University College students.

Biographical Details:

Valerie Baker joined the University of Reading in 2001 working part-time as Law Tutor to the International Foundation Programme. She became a Teaching Fellow with the School of Law in 2008 assisting with tutorials in General Principles of Law, and with lectures and tutorials in Contract Law. She became a personal tutor for some of the Taylor's University College Students.

For many years she was a teacher and examiner on the Law 'A' Level course.

Before joining University of Reading, Valerie was attached to the Business School at Oxford Brookes University as a part-time assistant lecturer, and with the Open University.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1985, she has held occasional positions in legal practice.

She has worked for both Air France and British Airways and a publishing company in London.
