Biographical Details:

Tawhida Ahmed joined the School of Law in 2011, having previously taught at the University of Sheffield (2006-2011). She completed her LL.M and Ph.D at the University of Nottingham. Her research interests lie in EU law and international human rights, with a specialism in the field of minority rights. She is interested in doctrinal legal questions concerning the application of human rights laws, as well as normative questions on the role of international organisations in the protection of human rights and minority rights. She is author of The Impact of EU Law on Minority Rights (Hart, 2011) and is an associate of the UK Network on Human Rights and Minority Groups and co-editor of its newsletter.
