• Reading School of Law / IALS Training Event on Terrorism Research

• Forum for Legal and Historical Research Seminar
  On Wednesday 21st March 2012 the Forum for Legal and Historical Research hosted a research seminar given by Prof. Rebecca Probert of the University of Warwick. Prof. Probert spoke about judicial treatments of cohabitation in the long nineteenth century. For further information about the activities of the Forum please contact Dr Charlotte Smith.

• Seminar in "123 Agreement project" Series
  On 14 March, Dr. James A. Green hosted a research seminar given by Prof. Daniel Joyner of the University of Alabama School of Law on the extremely topical subject of "Iran's Nuclear Programme and International Law." This was the final event of the three year British Academy UK-South Asia Partnership funded "123 Agreement project", run by a number of scholars in the School of Law in partnership with the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai. • School of Law is hosting a workshop designed to assist prospective Law School PhD applicants in writing research proposals for entry to doctoral programmes and for studentship funding. Thursday, 15 December, 1-4pm
  To apply for a place and a Workshop Award, please send a draft research proposal (400-600 words), a CV, and a short statement outlining your PhD and career plans to the Law School's PGR Director, Dr Lawrence McNamara. Closing date: 29 November 2011
