Signal Processing

Theoretical work led by Dr Ruiz on non-linear, non-Gaussian adaptive filtering and application to localisation in mobile robotics and synthetic aperture radar and medical imaging on various funded projects, has resulted in a series of invited seminars and presentations at IEEE conferences and an invited IEEE Lecture. Investigation by Zheng into multiple antenna space-time systems has so far led to the publication of more than 20 publications (mostly in high impact IEEE journals and high profile IEEE conferences), 2 EPSRC one-year visiting fellowships (2002 & 2006), 2 BT short term research fellowships (2003 & 2004) and the first ever BT long term research fellowship (continuous from 1/2006).
