In-sessional English Support Programme
This programme supports those already at the University of Reading whose first language is not English. Students from all departments and at any stage of their studies are welcome. PhD and Masters degree students, other postgraduates, undergraduates and members of staff can benefit from In-sessional English as long as they have already reached the minimum language requirements for university entry.

Writing Advisory Service
The Writing Advisory Service gives you the opportunity to show your work to an experienced writing teacher. You are eligible for a maximum of two tutorials per term if you are an international student at the University of Reading. You can ask to receive feedback on any aspect of planning/organisation/language/grammar/style for an assignment that you are about to submit. Please note that the Writing Advisory Service is NOT a proof-reading/language correction service, and that your tutorial will be limited to 2-3 pages of your work, lasting a maximum of 30 minutes. IESP can provide a list of private proof-readers on request, but can take no responsibility for this service.
The Writing Advisory Service will be held during term time and at selected times in the summer vacation. Tutorials will be held in the ISLC in HumSS. You will be advised of the room number by email.
How to request a tutorial
To make your request for a tutorial, send an email to iesp@reading.ac.uk. Follow these instructions carefully.
