Study Advice on Blackboard

Study Advice Blackboard pageStudy Advice also has a section on Blackboard where you can access more interactive resources, some of which are exclusive to University of Reading students. You can get access as a guest, but to access all of the materials and activities, you will need to enrol. Simple instructions for Reading students are below.

On the Blackboard pages, you can:

  • Download our free study skills ebook
  • Find printable copies of our popular Study Guides
  • Try an online tutorial
  • Test your skills for study
  • Print off slides and notes from our workshops
  • Post and comment on the discussion boards

Enrolling to Study Advice on Blackboard Learn

Study Advice on Blackboard Learn is an Organisation rather than a Course. The site has been set up so that you can enrol yourself and get instant access rather than waiting for someone else to carry out enrolment for you.

Watch this short video showing a step-by-step demonstration of how to self enrol on our Blackboard organisation, or follow the instructions below:

To find Study Advice on Blackboard Learn and enrol:

  • Log into Blackboard Learn as usual.
  • Click on the Enrolments tab.
  • In the Organisation Search box, type in 'Study Advice'.
  • Please note - do not search for Study Advice in the 'Course Search' box on this page, as you will not find it! It only appears in the Organisation Search.
  • Scroll down to see the search results, where you should see an Organisation marked 'Study Advice'.
  • Click on the arrows to give you a list of actions, then click on 'Enroll'.
