Current Students - Returner Accommodation for 2012-2013
University Hall accommodation
We welcome applications from students wishing to stay in Hall accommodation beyond their first year. There are a number of rooms allocated to continuing students and we anticipate high demand so early application is advisable.
Applications for 2012-13 Hall accommodation will be opened to continuing students on 5 January 2012.
Private rented accommodation
The Private Accommodation search, in association with Studentpad, will be updated on January 3 2012 to include a huge choice of houses and flats available from the summer for 2012/13.
The listing is updated throughout the year as landlords add new properties.
Please note: the listing includes houses and rooms available now, as well as those available from the start of the next session.
RUSU will be running a series of Housing Talks early in the Spring Term giving lots of information about what to consider when choosing housemates and house hunting (see below for more information).
We strongly recommend that you do not begin your house search too early. Every year we hear of students who have rushed to sign up for accommodation before the majority of properties are advertised, and end up with either an unsatisfactory property or living with people with whom they have little in common. The choice of housemates is just as important as the choice of house. Do take time to get it right.
There is no need to rush - there will be plenty of private accommodation available.
Host family accommodation
If you prefer to live in a family environment you may wish to arrange accommodation with a local host family which has been visited and approved by Accommodation staff. If you are interested in a host family please contact Jenny Artivich in the Student Services Centre Advisory Team (j.r.artivich@reading.ac.uk).
