General Elections

electionsYou can vote in a General Election if you are:

  • a British citizen, a Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of the Irish Republic
  • resident in the UK
  • 18 years of age or over on polling day

In order to vote in a General Election you must first be on the electoral register. You may register at two addresses (eg parental home and University address), but you will only get one vote.
