Crime and personal safety

Whilst the University employs a dedicated security team to patrol University property and create a safer environment, we do nevertheless advise you to be vigilant at all times. Each autumn during the first week of term we hold a Security and Safety Awareness exhibition which we strongly recommend you visit.

All crime on University property should be reported to Security Control (0118) 378 7799 to enable us to target our resources more efficiently, as well as to Thames Valley Police 0845 8 505 505. If you are aware of a crime actually taking place then you should ring 999 and ask for assistance. In an emergency, call Security Control on (0118) 378 6300.
