  3. Occupational Health
    The University has a duty to care for staff health and safety at work. The OH service is delivered by a team of health professionals who specialise in the branch of medicine that deals with the relationship between work and health. 
  4. EmployeeCare - Employee Assistance Programme
    Support, advice and guidance on a wide range of personal and work-related matters is available 24/7 for all staff through EmployeeCare, an independent Employee Assistance Programme. 
  5. Health, Advocacy, Respect and Care Network
    The University of Reading launched its Health, Advocacy, Respect and Care (HARC) Network of staff supporters on 2nd November 2011. This Network provides informal and confidential peer-to-peer support to staff at the University who feel they need someone to talk to but are unable to approach a colleague or line manager. 
  6. Reading walk-in medical centre 
    Located in Broad Street Mall in the centre of Reading, this service has been set up to complement the local GP service. No appointment is necessary and you do not have to be registered with a GP. 
  7. Spiritual health
    Life at the University can be full of challenges. Sometimes it helps to speak to somebody. The chaplains are available to provide a listening ear for all, regardless of belief. Feel free to call, email or just drop in.
  8. Whiteknights sports facilities 
    The University has excellent sporting and recreational facilities available to all staff at Sportspark at Whiteknights to help staff keep fit and healthy.
  9. Harris Garden 
    The Harris Garden, about 12 acres (5 ha.), provides an important teaching and research facility for the School of Biological Sciences as well as giving pleasure to staff, students and visitors.
  10. Tree walk 
    A guide for visitors to the University of Reading Whiteknights campus wishing to enjoy the Whiteknights Tree Walk.
  11. Clean and Green 
    The Clean and Green team, as well as looking for opportunities on how to reduce the University's impact on the environment, are also responsible for the general appearance of the campus and makes sure that it stays clean and tidy for everyone to share.
