RUSU Officers 2020/21

We're pleased to introduce you to our newly elected RUSU Officers for 2020/21.
Full time officers
Rachel Osbourne (President): Rachel plans to start a new RUSU podcast addressing key student and graduate issues, such as preparing for graduation. She also wants to pursue more sustainability initiatives such as running university-wide clothes swaps, as well as events designed to put fun back into student life.
Alex Rose (Activities Officer): Alex will be looking at introducing some quiet time to the Freshers Fayres, ensuring events are inclusive for postgraduate, mature and commuter students and making joint society events using the Buddy Scheme.
George Ingram (Education Officer): George is looking to implement better criteria for standardised feedback. He also wants to find and develop dedicated areas for studying and to create an online avenue to access Library resources.
Bandy Karki (Welfare Officer): Bandy's plans include instigating immediate support in a crisis at Halls, holding a housing forum with a housing officer, and training bar staff and bouncers in detecting sexual harassment.
Rachel Wates (Diversity Officer): Rachel hopes to create an Asian History Month and Bisexual Erasure Week to help raise awareness amongst our University community. She also has plans to improve access to Study Abroad and UoR Malaysia and hopes to create a partnership scheme between International and UK students.
