The University and Royal Berkshire Hospital Joint Academic Board has awarded £115,000 to support eight health innovation projects

The first awards have been made for projects from the Collaborative Innovation Fund.  Over £115,000 was allocated to support eight projects in both teaching and research, including the development of an educational programme for Physician Associates; recovery of motor coordination with improved Virtual Reality visual feedback; using dance to improve balance and strength in the elderly; and Validation of 3D dynamic models of blood vessels.

These new collaborations bring together teams from diverse clinical specialisms with academics across the University to generate pilot data ahead of major grant proposals or course developments.  The second call for projects will launch later this month.
