A programme of enabling work is currently underway in preparation of the University’s new Health & Life Sciences Building.

Works will take place at various sites around the Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics and IT Services, Chemistry and Pharmacy buildings up until late 2016 / early 2017.

Most of the work should not affect day-to-day operations, and the project team are keeping relevant Heads of Schools and building managers updated with notices on forthcoming works.

Key tasks to be carried out over the next few weeks include:

  • Heras fencing placed on the grassed area in front of Engineering. Pathways will remain open as usual.
  • New radiation store completed behind Chemistry. Current radiation store will be demolished so that a new sub-station can be built in its place.
  • Reduced number of parking spaces available in Information Technology car park.

Colleagues should bear in mind that work timeframes may be subject to change.
