Vice-Chancellor's address to Senate

David Bell

Sir David Bell, Vice-Chancellor

On Wednesday 11 March, the Vice-Chancellor gave an update to Senate on activities within the University as well as broader national policy developments.

In updating on recent national developments, he touched on HEFCE funding for 2015-16, the recent The Counter Terrorism and Security Bill and UUK's good practice guide to student mental health, amongst other topics.

The University update included information on undergraduate applications up by 21 per cent; the formal review of the School of Systems Engineering; and our involvement in FutureLearn and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
