Hilary Feltham, Director of Administration and Student Affairs in the ICMA Centre

'One of the highlights of the last 21 years has been seeing so many students progress and become influential in their chosen careers' Hilary Feltham

Colleagues gathered together recently to congratulate Hilary Feltham, Director of Administration and Student Affairs in the ICMA Centre on reaching 21 years continuous service with the University.

Hilary said; "One of the highlights of the last 21 years has been seeing so many students progress and become influential in their chosen careers. I still have contact with many of them and continue to take a keen interest in their progress."

Head of the ICMA Centre, Professor Charles Sutcliffe said; "Over the past 20 years Hilary has played a crucial role in the development of the ICMA Centre. When she started working for the university in the Autumn of 1990 Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister, Germany was two countries while the Soviet Union was one, our current undergraduates were unborn and the internet was in its infancy. Over this period of considerable development and growth, Hilary has done an excellent job of managing our building and support staff, creating the excellent facilities and support we now enjoy. I hope she continues to contribute to the ICMA Centre for many more years."

Hilary started working with the University in 1990 as a part time Lecturer in Economics on the Preparatory Course (now known as the International Foundation Programme) and in 1995 was approached by Professor Brian Scott-Quinn who was looking for good support people to help him launch the ISMA Centre (now the ICMA Centre) at the University of Reading. Hilary's first task was to introduce the undergraduate programme, BSc International Securities, Investment and Banking which had its first intake in 1997.

Hilary now has overall responsibility for managing the administration of all the ICMA Centre's academic programmes and provides strategic leadership for all administrative and operational processes.
