The SCR organises an annual calendar of events for members and guests.

Members and guests who take part in SCR events are asked to note that they do so at their own risk, and neither the SCR nor its members accept liability for any mishaps.

Walk in the Woods

Sunday 14 April, 11.00am

Meet in the car park at the Recreation ground in Binfield Heath, off Dunsden Way.

Walk in the woods: Binfield Heath and Shiplake circular. Mostly flat, easy going and peaceful, through farmland and woodland (High Wood, Shiplake Woods), west of Shiplake for 3.5 miles.

Craft Theory Beer Festival

Friday 19 April, 6.00pm onwards

South Street Arts Centre, Reading

Now in its third year, this small but perfectly formed beer festival brings you gourmet street food, music and most importantly a fantastic selection of beer from local, national and international brewers. Ticket price includes a branded glass and a small donation to the local charity Reading Soup. We'll be attending on the first day of the festival, in the evening.

Celebrate the arrival of spring, in Japanese style, with a sake tasting (8) and Japanese themed nibbles.

Summer Craft Fair

Thursday 2 May, 4.30-7.00pm

SCR Lounge, Park House

Would you like to find something unique and original as a gift for friends and family, or a lovely treat for yourself? Please join us for our first SCR Summer Craft Fair featuring local artists and makers. There will be a range of arts and crafts on offer, with wine available by the glass while you browse. Please join us for some interesting and delightful ideas!

Wine from our cellars at £2.50 per glass. Please note our wine shop will be open for purchases.

Please make every effort to attend the AGM as we have important business to discuss. The meeting (a complimentary glass of wine for all who attend!) will be followed by Wine of the Month with wine from our cellars available at £2.50 per glass.

Please bring sufficient cash to pay for your wine if you are attending the WoTM.
