Academic Legal Services

  Academic Legal Services provide legal advice and contract support to academic and administrative colleagues in schools and central departments where the University is working with an outside body to exchange University (staff) expertise, knowledge, intellectual property and related resources to bring a benefit to the University.

   

  We are made up of two linked units Research & Enterprise Contracts and Intellectual Property Management.  Most of your research & enterprise related legal needs will be met by our Contracts Managers, but if you have stand-alone questions relating to intellectual property or have a new technology idea you would like some advice on protecting or taking to industry, please contact one of our IP Advisors or our Technology Commercialisation Manager.
