Doing the Award

In order to complete the Award, you will have to complete 50 hours of activity, which is made up of three different elements: 35 hours of the Core activity, 10 hours of Volunteering opportunities and 5 hours of Training and development:

RED Award Diagram Core Activity. 35 hours of either: Paid work, Volunteering, Work Experience or Internship Volunteering. 10 hours that may include: Role in RUSU sports club or society, Local community volunteering, Peer Support or Student Tutoring Training and Development. 5 hours that could include: Training courses at RUSU, Headstart programme, Living Positively programme

You can complete these elements in any order, at any time. You will simply need to have your Activity Checklist signed off to verify that you have completed each activity.

You can only count activities that you have undertaken whilst you are registered as a student at the University.

Please note that if you wish to backdate activity, you can only count activities that have been completed after 1 October 2010.
