To help you have a successful start at the University we have a framework for induction in your school, department or directorate. The following documents have suggested topics for you to discuss with your line manager to help ensure that your induction goes as smoothly as possible:

Central Induction

The essential guide to working at the University. The day includes a welcome from the Vice-Chancellor or his representative and interactive presentations from key services. The 'marketplace' is an opportunity to ask individual questions and gather information from many of the offices, services, facilities, clubs and trade unions available. A general tour of Whiteknights campus shows you many of the facilities before we split up to join either a tour of the Sports Centre or Whiteknights Library. Sessions run between 9.15 – 16.00.

Facilities Management Directorate (FMD) Induction

An informal session for new FMD staff to meet and find out more about their Directorate. This session is compulsory for FMD members of staff.
