Summer Concert: An Evening of Choral Jazz

Join the University of Reading's Chorus and Chamber Choir, and the Institute of Education's newly created vocal ensemble Academic Voices, for An Evening of Choral Jazz. Featuring a selection of choral a cappella, pop and jazz arrangements, this is a perfect way to relax in a beautiful venue, as we welcome the long summer evenings.

Big Band Big Lunch 2017

Sunday 4 June 2017 | 12pm |London Road Campus

We'd like to welcome you to our third annual Big Band Big Lunch on the historic London Road campus.

Join the fun as we invite the local community to join members of the University over lunch, to listen to music from the University Big Band and take part in a range of family-friendly activities based around this year's theme of Community and Creativity.

This event will have something for everyone, with food and drink available to purchase, or feel free to bring along a picnic and enjoy the festivities!

The University of Reading Chamber Choir return to the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London with a programme of French music, showcasing the talented students and staff of the University.

Featuring Elgar Enigma Variations, and Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle, this is a concert not to be missed.

Big Band Christmas Swing Ball 2016

Swing into the festive spirit with the University of Reading Big Band's Christmas Swing Ball! With performances from the Big Band, a swing dance lesson led by All Jazzed Up, and a Cabaret by Reading University Swing Dance Society, this is an evening not to be missed.

Winter Concert 2016

The University of Reading Orchestra, Chorus and Chamber Choir present the annual Winter Concert. With a programme drawn from across the world, the music this evening showcases the talents of our students, staff and community. From the English composer Finzi, who lived close to the University; to Austria for Schubert; the Russian composer, Rachmaninoff; and the 20th century American composers Lauridsen and Barber; this is a truly international concert. The programme features 'Symphony No. 3 in D Major', composed by Franz Schubert, 'In Terra Pax', composed by Gerald Finzi, in addition to traditional carols.
