International Foundation Programme Coordinator

The IFP Coordinator will be responsible for matters concerning the Department's contribution to the IFP, and relating to modules in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Computer Science, and Physics. The principal duties of the post holder, which are subject to alteration, are as follows:

and incorporating the following duties:

  • recruitment of Module Tutors and allocation of duties in respect of lectures, tutorials, reports, marking and staff development;
  • preparation of staffing request forms and liaising with HR and Payroll, where appropriate;
  • acting as an intermediary between the Module Tutors and the Department, the IFP and the Personal Tutors and the IFP and the Department;
  • providing support and acting as mentor to the Module Tutors;
  • liaising with the Computer Science Department and relevant Module Tutors;
  • maintaining and publishing Module Descriptions;
  • timetabling, room bookings and submission of marks and RISIS entry;
  • providing a level of quality assurance in relation to the syllabus content, teaching and examining of the modules:

checking and moderating examination papers

checking and moderating marks

module report forms and module evaluation

    • member of Board of Studies and Programme Examiners.
